If you would like to join our friendly group of volunteers, then do get in touch and come to our next meeting. The Leatherhead Theatre is currently offering volunteering opportunities in Marketing, Front of House and General Maintenance.

Volunteer Ambassadors

As an Ambassador for The Leatherhead Theatre, you can help us to reach a wider audience through public relations and publicity distribution. If you are interested in theatre and other live events, you can act as an Ambassador in your local area. The Leatherhead Theatre Ambassadors receive regular event up-dates and publicity material which they distribute in their chosen area. If you would like to represent The Leatherhead Theatre but have mobility issues, Ambassadors can also help by making links with local interest groups to encourage group bookings and raise awareness.

Front of House Volunteers

As a Volunteer Usher you can be part of the life of The Leatherhead Theatre by welcoming patrons and helping to ensure the smooth running of our events. Volunteer Ushers receive relevant training for their duties and often enjoy the opportunity to work with the public and spend evenings at the theatre.

You can also get involved with the theatre by becoming a Help Desk Volunteer. Help Desk Volunteers welcome and provide information to the public. They receive up-dates about the theatre’s events, take booking information on site and promote the theatre in the community.

Maintenance Volunteers

Our Maintenance team can always use an extra hand. If you are good with a paintbrush, or think you could help out with practical tasks around the theatre, then get in touch and get stuck in. Jobs are allocated depending on your skills and interests and we usually aim to get work-groups together, as many hands make light work - and good conversation!
